Lake Cities Cross Country Spring
Registration is ongoing

 

Lake Cities Cross Country, a developmental distance running program primarily for athletes in 3rd thru 8th grades, will hold registration for the Spring season on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, 6101 Morris Road, Flower Mound, TX, in the new Family Life Building located on the south side of the church, directly across Dixon Lane from Marcus High School.

The first practice will be held Saturday, January 7 beginning at 2 pm at Unity Park, located directly north of Briarhill Middle School on Briarhill Blvd., north of FM 407, in Highland Village.  The club takes on new athletes throughout the year.  Also, if you are a home schooled high school age athlete, you are welcome to run and compete with Lake Cities XC. 

 

New members must bring a photocopy of their birth certificate and a signed waiver in order to practice.

Every Lake Cities Practice includes:

  • Warmup
  • Static and Dynamic Stretching (Plyometrics)
  • Purposed running
  • Cool Down
  • End of Practice Stretch

 

 Lake Cities is open to runners of all ability levels.  We focus on the individual needs while stressing the appropriate warmup, stretching, and cooldown drills to promote health and prevent injury.
